Final Fantasy Xiii

Has anyone else played this game?

I've played the first chapter (im assuming), and am so far disappointed. Its somewhat insulting that they threw so much information at us without explaining what exactly is going on. The characters were talking about things, and unless the player familiarizes him/herself with the story (before hand), then they're going to be lost.

People are saying it gets better as one goes along, so maybe the beginning is iffy. The graphics are well done though.
